SPT Ltd is a family run company with a successful history.
Patrick Spiteri, his wife Helen and sons, Justin and Kuelyn started off their first venture with a tiny cafeteria called Cafe 516, in the heart of Malta’s capital city, Valletta.
The true vocation of this family in this business showed immediately and they started writing down the chain of successful restaurants along the years:

Q-Bar and Bistro 516 are the two restaurants presently running. With all the dedication and passion, the Spiteri family managed to gain a very good reputation and is now very well known for their hospitality and most of all the delivery of amazing culinary experiences. Research and development play a huge part in their daily routine and this is what makes them special.

BISTRO 516 is all about casual dining. Situated at the Valletta waterfront, overlooking the amazing Grand Harbour, this award winning restaurant is never asleep. Open for breakfast till late, our open kitchen is always up and running thanks to our hard working chefs and their team.
It is very well known for its friendly staff, impeccable service and most of all for the delicious food consistent all throughout the year. From a vast selection of Mediterranean cuisine, one can choose from various starters, pasta (home made or not), rice, meat, poultry, fish, and of course our mixed platters, paired with a good bottle of wine from our extensive wine list, offering a variety from all over the world. We would then suggest that you dig into one of our mouth-watering deserts.
Should you then opt to sit in inside, you can have a look at the priceless photos hung on the old wallsthat take you on a lovely journey into the past, depiciting the Maltese way of life.
Having also a lovely indoor area upstairs, BISTRO516 cater for private functions such as baby showers, birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings, graduation parties, wine tasting and many more.
BISTRO 516 is also very well known for the vast selection of gluten free dishes. People suffering from allergies nowadays can have amazing culinary experiences just like everybody else. And to make it easier, BISTRO 516 takes a step further and sells fresh and frozen gluten free food to be cooked in the comfort of their loyal customers homes.
The A’ la carte menu is not the only option at BISTRO 516. They offer set menus, tailor made packages and finger food.

QBAR and Restaurant is one of Malta’s latest, award winning lounge bar concepts launched at the end of 2007, offering a unique mix of lounging and clubbing in chic surroundings.
DJ’s are welcome to take a DJ stand for private functions and party all throughout the evening.
Situated at the amazing Valletta Waterfront in front of the breath-taking view of our Grand Harbour, QBAR also offers a vast selection of Mediterranean cuisine prepared by our chefs in our open kitchen. It is often praised for its impeccable service and friendly staff.
